It’s high time for another vase on a Monday! This time I got out one of my vintage lenses and hope you like the result. Like Beverley Nichols I love shrinking – as gardeners we have several occasions to shrink throughout the year: when we pay a visit to our rock garden (if we have one) and in spring when all the tiny treasures pop up. To be truly able to appreciate their beauty, we just have to shrink, get on the same level to be able to look into their endearing little faces which smile at us…telling us to be happy no matter what life is throwing at us. Who could possibly resist the charm of sweet violet (Viola odorata), cowslip (Primula veris), periwinkle (Vinca minor) and daisy (Bellis perennis)? I can’t!!! Höchste Zeit für eine Montagsvase! Dieses Mal habe ich eines meiner Vintageobjektive bemüht und hoffe, euch gefällt das Ergebnis. Wie Beverley Nichols liebe ich es zu Schrumpfen – als Gärtner haben wir im Lauf des Jahres mehrmals Gelegenheit dazu: wenn wir in den Steingarten gehen (falls wir denn einen haben) und im Frühling, wenn all die zarten Zwerge aus dem Boden schiessen. Möchte man deren Schönheit wahrhaft schätzen, dann müssen wir einfach schrumpfen und uns auf ihr Niveau begeben…nur so sehen wir, dass sie uns zulächeln und sagen, dass wir fröhlich sein sollen, ganz egal, wie übel uns das Leben manchmal mitspielt. Wer könnte dem Charme von Duftveilchen (Viola odorata), Schlüsselblume (Primula veris), Immergrün (Vinca minor) und Gänseblümchen (Bellis perennis) widerstehen? Ich nicht!!! Vergesst nicht, euch bei der ebenfalls charmanten Cathy die Vasen meiner Bloggerfreunde anzusehen. Zudem gibt’s ein neues Video, in dem ich euch auf einen Spaziergang bei Sonnenaufgang mitnehme und euch einen weiteren kleinen Teil meiner Welt zeige. Ich wünsche euch eine gute Woche 🙂

Thank you for the wonderful panoramic sunrise video, including the glimpse of your Head Gardener. I find your view more peaceful and relaxing than my own industrial harbor view. I love tiny arrangements and used to create more of them myself when I had my former, tiny townhouse garden. For some reason, a lot of those smaller creations have give way to more „in your face“ arrangements with my current garden.
Yes, I’m blessed to be able to spend time in such a beautiful area. Love your ‚in face arrangements‘, Kris. The fab thing is that our contributions are so varied 😀

I loved Beverly Nichols too and his idea of shrinking to enjoy tiny flowers and of course spring is the ideal time for this. I love the video, keep them coming. Although it does make me a little sad to think of my loved ones there so far away and no chance of seeing them at the moment.
