…well, maybe not of the day but rather of the garden year that is slowly coming to an end. Early this morning the world was shrouded in mist, and as I wandered around outside I couldn’t help but notice the magic of death and decay. Grasses, seedheads, dying perennials turning into a beautiful late autumn-winter-monochrome still brightened by the burning leaves of Parrotia and other autumn stars. For my vase I’ve picked Plectranthus, Chrysanthemum, the red stems of Euphorbia griffithii and hips of Rosa „Scharlachglut“ (syn. Scarlet Glow). As always don’t forget to visit the blog of our charming hostess Cathy, the creator of the Monday vase, to see what others have picked for their vases today. Wishing you all a great week 🙂
Land of Heart’s Desire Where beauty has no ebb, decay no flood, But joy is wisdom, time an endless song.
