First I’d like to thank you most kindly for leaving such nice comments on last week’s post (and always!). I’m very busy these days and can’t answer back but I’m sure you know that it’s greatly appreciated. 🙂  It’s Monday again and this time I’m in a rather poetic mood. Whereas the poet’s daffodils (Narcissus poeticus) in my garden have almost finished flowering, the wild things in our woods are just lifting their delicate, little heads. I think another week or two and the air will be filled with delicous perfume and I’ll be back to worship them. And they deserve to be worshipped because they are a poet’s dream! Thanks to Cathy for hosting the Vase on a Monday – make sure you visit her blog for plenty of flower power and inspiration. Have a great week!

Narcissus

How pale

Thy moonlit face

Ghost-like

Shimmering like a 1000 stars

How red

Thy lips

Scarlet-red

Longing to be kissed.

A kiss – such bliss!

  1. Apt words and apt images, Annette; what a lovely way to start the week. Thank you for sharing. I do hope your hectic life is not getting you down and you still have time to enjoy the pleasures of your own garden and the company of Monsieur

    1. I’m on to something new and with spring and the garden – well, you know yourself the days are never long enough but enjoyment is on my list too, thanks, Cathy
