Plötzlich… / Suddenly…

…ist es Frühling!!! Es scheint, als hätten wir uns erst vor einigen Tagen den Schnee aus dem Gefieder geschüttelt… …it’s spring!!! It seems only a few days ago that we shook the last snow from our feathers… wir mussten zusehen, dass die Vitamine über den Winter nicht zu kurz kamen… we had to make sure we got enough vitamins during the winter… wie jedes Jahr verliebten wir uns Hals über Kopf in die Schneeglöckchen… like every year we fell head over heels in love with the snowdrops… wir tanzten mit den Krokussen… we danced with the crocuses… Nun entdecken wir Tag für Tag mehr Blüten, der Duft der Veilchen liegt in der Luft, überall leuchten die limettengrünen Blüten der Wolfsmilch. Every day we discover more flowers, the scent of violets lingers in the air, the lime green Euphorbia flowers shine. Isn’t this primula delightful? Einer der charmantesten Frühlingsblüher, das Veilchen. / One of our most charming spring flowers, sweet violet. True blue! Brunnera macrophylla Zeit, barfuss durchs Gras zu laufen, zu träumen, Pläne zu schmieden, unbeschwert und ein wenig leichtsinnig zu sein… Time to walk barefoot through the grass, to dream, make plans, be carefree and perhaps a little frivolous…     Lange war’s still hier, aber ich war auf Reisen, habe meinen Fotografie-Preis abgeholt und bin in den letzten Zügen mit meinem Buch. Layout und Lektorat sind fast fertig, dann geht’s in die Druckerei, und dann, bald, ihr Kinder, wird’s was geben. So ein Buch ist viel Arbeit, vor allem wenn man Text und Bilder selbst macht. Aber es macht riesig Spass, und ich hoffe, das Resultat wird euch gefallen  🙂 Last but not least: Ein grosses Dankeschön an Baronin und Baron von Süsskind und alle, die die Preisverleihung in Schloss Dennenlohe zu einem unvergesslichen Event machten!!! Es war toll.  Ich wünsche euch allen fröhliche Ostertage! It has been quiet for a while but I’ve been away, picked up my photography award and I’m also about to finish my book. Images and text have been handed over a few months ago and now the layout and editing are almost done…and then it won’t be long! Doing a book is a lot of work, especially when you provide text and photos. But it has been great fun and I hope the result will please you too. 🙂 Last but not least: A big thank you to Baronin and Baron von Süsskind and all that made the award ceremony at Schloss Dennenlohe an unforgettable event!!! It was great. I wish you all a happy Easter!
