Wie der Garten glüht! Da soll nochmals einer behaupten, der November sei trüb und grüselig. Von wegen! Nach monatelangem Sommerwetter kam nun der ersehnte Regen, aber es ist dennoch eine pure Freude, in den Garten hinaus zu schauen und die Pracht zu absorbieren. Hier ein paar meiner besten Glüher:
How the garden is glowing! Whoever said November is a dull month…no way! After months of stunning summer weather we’ve finally got some rain but it’s a joy to look out into the garden and absorb the beauty. Here are some of my best „glowers“:
Rosa „Frühlingsgold“
Malus „Butterball“
Euonymus europaeus
Berberis 
Parrotia persica

Cornus „Butterfly“

Da, wo es nicht genug glüht, wird einfach nachgeholfen! 😉
In the corners where it doesn’t glow strongly enough, I just add a little fire myself! 😉

The effects of the light and the way you have captured it Annette is stunning! I am bowled over by Joseph Rock – it’s amazing.
I have not long added Euphoria griffithii Fireglow to my front garden, it’s a rather pathetic looking thing right now but yours is gorgeous, glad I chose that specific variety now.

Star plant, this Joseph, but then all Sorbus are stunning. Euphorbia doesn’t always develop these wild colours but it has been great this year.

Deine wunder-, wunder-, wunder. wunder-, wunder- ….. wunderschönen Bilder haben mir den (grauen) Tag gerettet. Der absolute Hammer ist ja die „Goldrose“ ganz unten, und dann dieses wunderschöne pinkfarbene Ding neben dem Cirsenisnochwas, und die Berberitze erst, die hab ich im letzten Jahr erst für mich entdeckt. Einfach nur schön, dein Herbstgarten ❤ ❤ ❤
Danke fürs Reinschauen, liebe Heike, es gibt viele Gründe, den Herbst zu lieben, und ich muss unbedingt noch viel mehr schillernde Pflanzen integrieren. Farbenjunkie 😉

The light is fabulous in autumn, it certainly makes it a beautiful month. You have some stunning colours, I envy you the Cercis.
It’s not that exotic or is it more that you can’t grow it where you are?
Definitely glowing, Annette – what a gorgeous range of foliage you have! I was pleased to see the colours on R rugosa “Hansa” as that is one of the ones I have on order for the back of my shrub border. Your garden must make you glow inside too, I am sure 😉
It does and it will be even more when things mature, Cathy. Hansa is a good choice, well all rugosas are delightful.

What lovely autumn colour you have Annette. You have my favourite Sorbus‘ Joseph Rock‘ and a Parrotia persica which is so wonderful in the Autumn. Malus ‚ Butterball‘ is, I think, the best yellow fruited Malus. Your Callicarpa is wonderful, so full of berries.
What well chosen trees and shrubs you have in your garden, which is what I would expect of you.
I just adore good autumn plants and feel there’s lots of room for improvement still, Chloris. But then it’s a young garden and with the orchard being completely re-designed I look forward to a bright and colourful garden future 🙂
Wunderschön sieht es in deinem Garten noch aus! Ich habe heute auch mal eine Runde durch meinen Garten gedreht und noch ein paar Fotos gemacht. Aber mit deiner Farbenpracht kann ich nicht mithalten 😉

Bezaubernde Fotos, liebe Annette! Diese bunt glühenden Blätter, Blüten und Früchte sind einfach phantastisch. Ich finde auch, dass der Herbst eine wundervolle Jahreszeit sein kann – zumindest solange die Blätter noch an den Bäumen sind.
Aber später zaubert vielleicht der Rauhreif weißen Glitzer über die schlafenden Pflanzen. Auch der Winter hat ja seine Reize.
Fürs erste freue mich aber noch über den bunten Herbst 🙂

Yes, the garden is glowing here too, November is a lovely month with plenty to look at. You have some really stunning colours in your garden, November goes out with a bang!

I’m afraid we are pretty much done with the season of glowing, at least until people start putting up their holiday lights.

I’m so glad I came across this post today! What beautiful colors, and the light and focus really sets them off. Your garden must really be a wonder in autumn and I bet the house on fire with the creeper is an amazing sight when it really colors up.
I’m a bit envious of your late autumn. Sweet peas in vases with zinnias from the garden are all just a memory here!
