To start off with, I cheated – not much though, only very little. Promise. The blackthorn comes from the garden, the tulips don’t ( so calm down, no need to get excited!). But the tulips are French. Buy local 🙂 . I adore tulips and think these look especially romantic. The image was taken yesterday, because I don’t have time today. That was it. End of confession! Monsieur made a fine apple pie and so we sat on our sitooterie terrace (explanations will follow) in glorious sunshine. Spring -and love!- is in the air, birds are singing, gaily coloured flowers entice bumble bees, lizards chase each other love-stricken. Isn’t it awesome to be part of all this? Thanks to Cathy for hosting the vase on a monday. You can see her vase and that of others here. Can you feel spring too?
Ist der Kaffee fertig?? Ich bringe den Pflaumenkuchen 😉
Angenommen! 🙂
Annette you’ve created quite a romantic, spring-like arrangement. I like the paleness of the tulip flower.
The tulips are lovely – but it is a cheat, they’re not flowering anywhere yet unless they’ve been forced!
And they are pretty tulips, Annette – very much in keeping with the blackthorn and the china from which you were enjoying your apple pie. You are in a very bouyant mood today – have you sold some more photographs or been commissioned to design another garden or something….?! Thanks for joining in.
Wearing my heart on my sleeve, am I? 😉
Very pretty – and with cake too! 😀
What a lovely arrangement – I like the way you have photographed it outside with the delicious looking apple pie – I wish I could have joined you for a slice yesterday!
Oh that’s a most pretty arrangement Annette – oh so perfect for a spring day and afternoon tea.
Your arrangement is indeed very elegant. It looks very fresh and simple et la tarte de monsieur a l’air délicieuse.
Yes, I feel it in the air too. Lovely arrangement. Enjoy your pretties and have a good week! Blessings, Natalie 🙂
Magic photos ..
I love tulips too and force them in winter before they actually bloom here. Your photos are very pretty as is your arrangement. We are still under snow, so tulips here will be late likely.
I LOVE that combination. Beautiful! 🙂
A beautiful arrangement! And I know what a „sitooterie“ is! It was used in our house when I was growing up in Scotland – but I won’t spoil the surprise and leave the explanation up to you!
I have „stolen“ this expression from Cathy over at ramblinginthegarden as I like it so much 😉
